NYS Youth and HS Rugby Stakeholders To Convene - Jan 16, 2010
Meeting to be held Jan. 16 in Albany
NYS Youth and HS Rugby Stakeholders To Convene
You are invited to join Youth and High School Rugby leaders from across New York State in Albany on Saturday January 16th to take the next steps forward in creating a SBRO(State Based Rugby Organization) at the 2nd NYS Youth and High School Rugby Conference.
State Based Rugby Organizations are building momentum for the youth and high school game all over the country with 23 states currently organized and another 13 in the formative stages.
This is a unique opportunity to create an organization that will help to main stream rugby in our schools and in our communities. State Based rugby organizations are the model of the future and New York should be in a leadership position in regards to the development of the game.
At our last meeting in January of 2008 the vision, framework, and the network were created to make state based rugby a reality and now is the time to build on that early success.
The conference will be facilitated by USA Rugby Youth and High School Director Mark Griffin. It is being hosted by Capitol District Youth Rugby and will be held at the Colonie Youth Bureau, 1653 Central Avenue, Colonie, NY 12205 from 10 AM until 3 PM. Lunch will be provided for a nominal charge.
Anyone with an interest in seeing rugby grow and prosper at the Youth and High School levels in New York State should plan to attend.
Please RSVP to Mike Hodgins at mhodgins@usarugby.org asap. Email Mike or Mark Griffin(mgriffin@usarugby.org) for additional information or with questions.
