Syracuse Scores Historic Win Over Dartmouth

WEST POINT, NY -- Syracuse defeated Dartmouth, 6-5, here this evening in the NRU Collegiate Men's Division I semifinals. An historic victory, the win guarantees Syracuse's advancement to the USA Rugby Division I Sweet 16. Syracuse becomes the first men's club from NYS Rugby to advance to the USA Rugby Round of 16 at the Division I level.

Dartmouth took a 5-0 lead into the half, but could not make it hold up. Syracusetook advantage of Dartmouth penalties in the second half to slot two.

Syracuse will face top-seeded Army Sunday in the NRU final. The game will determine the Northeast seedings for the National finals.
