Policy Reminders for Spring 2009
To all NYS Rugby member clubs -
Prior to the start of the Spring 2009 season, find below reminders on NYS Rugby policy:
Rescheduling Games
Prior to the rescheduling of any game, the change must be approved by both teams, the assigned referee and the appropriate Vice President.
The team initiating the schedule change must put the request in writing, copying the opposing administrative staff, the assigned referee and the appropriate VP. The game will not be considered approved for rescheduling until approved (in writing) by the appropriate VP.
Referee Confirmation
It is the responsibility of the home team to confirm with the assigned referee, no later than the Sunday prior to the game, the site, time and any additional information. This is to be electronically and should include a CC: to the visiting club as well.
Should the referee not be confirmed by the stated time (with return contact), he or she is eligible to be assigned to another contest.
Active communication prior to a contest assists everyone involved. As always, we ask the clubs be proactive in their organization and execution of their schedule.
