St. Bonaventure to Host Recruiting Day on November 1st

OLEAN, NY -- NYS Rugby Division II Champions St. Bonaventure University will host rugby student-athlete recruits on Saturday, November 1, as part of the first round of the Northeast Rugby Union playoffs.

It will be an exciting day to visit campus and see fast-paced, hard-hitting college rugby. St. Bonaventure is situated in the Enchanted Mountains of Cattaraugus County and is home to one of the up-and-coming rugby programs in the Northeast. Visit http://www.sburfc.com for more information.

"This is a great opportunity for New York State high school student-athletes to see all that St. Bonaventure has to offer," said Coach Clarence Picard. "We have had success recruiting on the East Coast, but the heart and soul of our program is, and will remain, players from Western New York." Picard went on to say, "We're expecting a great match and hope to show prospective student-athletes why SBU would be a great place for them to continue their educational and rugby careers."
