NYS Rugby Announces Women’s U19 Squad

SYRACUSE, NY -- NYS Rugby has named its 2008 Women’s U-19 squad which will compete at this years NRU-LAU U-19 Championships in June.

“We think we have put together an outstanding group of players," said Head Coach Greg Fehrman. "Last year we struggled with numbers, but with everything, it takes time to build a program and last year's hard work has paid off. We have made another big step in the right direction and feel the NRU coaches will enjoy seeing these young women play.”

In addition to the tournament in June, the NYS-U-19 will also travel to Rutland, Vermont in August to compete against the Vermont U-19 All Stars.
