Fehrman to Lead Women's U19s, DeSalvia Heads Men's College Squad
Fehrman, De Salvia Named to NYS All-Star Posts
SYRACUSE, NY -- NYS Rugby has named Greg Fehrman and David DeSalvia to head coaching positions within its All-Star program. Fehrman will head the Women's U19 All-Star squad, while De Salvia will be the head coach for the Men's College All-Star side.
"Greg and Dave will be excellent leaders for their respective programs," said Mike Hodgins, NYS Rugby President. "This is an exciting time for rugby within our conference as we grow the level of play for our All-Star sides. Greg and Dave will play a large role in that growth."
For the past 11 years, Fehrman has served as the head coach of the Syracuse University Women’s RFC. He has led Syracuse to the post-season four times, including four championship game appearances. He has been instrumental in the NYS Women's U19 Select Side Program and also received his IRB certification in 2007.
DeSalvia has been active with NYS Rugby All-Star sides over the past several years. In 2006 and 2007, he served as head coach of the CNY Men's College All- Stars, and was an assistant for the NYS Men's College All-Stars from 2005-2007. DeSalvia has also been an assistant to Bob Wilson with the Syracuse University Men's RFC since 2002.
