SUNY Cortland to Host 2008 Collegiate Upstates
SYRACUSE, NY -- NYS Rugby has announced that SUNY Cortland has been awarded the bid to host the 2008 Collegiate Upstates. The tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20, on the SUNY Cortland campus, and will feature over 50 women's and men's collegiate clubs.
"We are pleased to award host responsibilities to SUNY Cortland for the 2008 Upstates," said Mike Hodgins, NYS Rugby President. "This allows us to return this collegiate event to a campus environment for the first time in several years. We are confident this will be an outstanding event for our women's and men's college sides."
The women's collegiate tournament will take place on Saturday, April 19, followed by the men's collegiate tournament on Sunday, April 20. Four fields will be running each day, with action commencing at 9:00 a.m.
The registration deadline for the 2008 Collegiate Upstates is April 12. All registration forms and payment must be received by April 12.
Registration fees are as follows (per club - men and women separate):
A-Side: $150 total
Two-Sides: $225 total

Clubs that are not current with NYS Rugby dues are not eligible to register for the 2008 Upstates.
