NYS Rugby Accepting Applications for Select Side Coaches
The New York State Rugby Conference is now accepting applications for the position of coach for the following all-star teams:
* Senior Men
* College Men
* U23 Women
* U19 Women
* U19 Boys
* U17 Boys
These will be three year appointments that will run thru the 2010 season. Preference will be given to applicants with prior select side coaching experience, but prior experience is not a requirement.
Interested coaches should submit an application that includes the following:
* Team you are applying for
* Rugby resumes of the head coach and any assistant coaches, managers, trainers, etc.
* Program events calendar – training dates, tryouts, practices, tournaments or competitions you plan to enter, etc. Calendar should be specific for 2008 season, with general milestones for the 2009 and 2010 seasons
* Budget estimates with anticipated expenses, revenues and approximate player contribution
* Coaching and player development philosophy and experience
* Overall direction and goals for the program during the term of the appointment
Anyone wishing to coach a NYSRC select side must file an application, including all current NYSRC all-star coaches. All applications will be reviewed by the NYSRC Board of Directors who will select coaches for each program.
Applications should be sent to JC Whipple, Executive Director, at jcwhip4@gmail.com and must be received by Friday, February 15, 2008.
Selected coaches will be announced by Monday, February 25, 2008.
