Tournament to be held April 16-17
NYS Rugby Opens Bids to Host 2011 Collegiate Upstates
NYS Rugby announced today it has opened the bid process to host the 2011 Collegiate Upstates Tournament. The event will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 16-17. Women's play will take place on Saturday, April 16, with Men's action to follow on Sunday, April 17.
Upstates bid proposals should include the following:
* Number of fields available (minimum of four fields required)
* Map of Tournament site
* Confirmation of required field restraints / goal pads / flags
* Parking availability
* Rest Room facilities (confirmation)
* Security (necessary for on-campus sites)
* Ambulance service / EMT (confirmation)
* Tent (10x10 minimum), tables and chairs for NYS Rugby official work station
* Concession proposals
* Plans for local PR / Media exposure / Youth rugby exposure
* Any other pertinent information to enhance your proposal
NYS Rugby assists host club in covering expenses associated with the Upstates Tournament.
Deadline for proposals is January 28. Clubs or local organizing committees should submit completed proposals to J.C. Whipple, NYS Rugby Executive Director, at executive@nysrugby.org.
