Match Form and Printed CIPP Roster Required

NYS Rugby Roster / CIPP Policies

Attention All NYS Rugby Member Clubs:

NYS Rugby policy states that prior to every game each club must present a Match Roster Form. ALL players listed on the Match Form must be CIPP registered with USA Rugby to be eligible for competition in league, playoff and NRU contests.

This season, NYS Rugby is requiring a printed copy of your clubs’ CIPP roster (generated through USA Rugby) to accompany the Match Roster Form. Both forms are to be submitted to the game referee prior to kickoff.

Clubs which do not submit an official Match Roster and official USA Rugby CIPP roster prior to kickoff will be subject to penalties up to, and including, forfeiture of matches played.

This policy is in effect for every NYS Rugby member club at every level of play.

An electronic copy of the Match Roster Form can be found at NYSRugby.org > Competition

CIPP lists can be obtained at USARugby.org > Membership > Club Rosters

Players registering on a Friday are eligible for match on Saturday as long as they show up in the database. Any club experiencing problems with their CIPP list need to contact their respective conference VP BEFORE playing any matches.

REMINDER: The Fall League Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 9, at the Ramada Inn in Syracuse (1305 Buckley Road, Syracuse). The meeting will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m.

It is MANDATORY for EVERY team to have at least one (1) representative in attendance at the meeting. If a team should fail to have representation, one point will be deducted from your league standings. In years past, this has had implications on league playoffs.
