NRU Collegiate Championship Request For Proposals

The Northeast Rugby Union is soliciting bids to host the 2007 NRU College Championships. The championships will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 10-11, 2006 and will determine the NRU’s seeds to USA Rugby’s 2007 National Championships.

Competitions will be held for Men’s and Women’s Division 1 and Division 2, and Men’s Division 3. Semifinal matches will be played on Saturday, November 10th. Championship and qualifier matches will be played on Sunday, November 11th. The Men’s Division 3 competition will consist of a championship match only, and may be held on either day.

Host organizations may bid to host any combination of divisions. The NRU has a hosting subsidy of $2000 that will be divided equally between the 4 divisions. Priority will be given to bids submitted by NRU member colleges and to bids offering to host multiple divisions. (i.e Men’s and Women’s D1, or Women’s D1 and D2, etc.)
