Rochester to Host USA Rugby National Championship Event
USA Rugby National Championship Event Comes to Rochester
Rochester, NY, May 1, 2007
The Rochester Colonials are proud to announce that the 2007 USA Rugby National Men’s Collegiate All-Championships (NASC) will be held in Rochester, NY on June 8 and 9, 2007. NASC will bring the top 200 collegiate rugby athletes in the United States to Monroe County’s Northampton Park to complete in bracket-style tournament play. Each All-Star team is comprised of select players representing 8 geographical regions of the country.
In addition, representatives from the United States National Team (The Eagles) staff, along with USA Rugby staff, will be in attendance previewing the athletes for possible selection to the Eagles. These athletes are the future of the United States international rugby presence.
This festival style event will also feature social gatherings, merchandising, concessions, and of course the highest caliber rugby ever to be seen in the Greater Rochester Area. This event is poised to promote Rochester as the Northeast’s #1 rugby destination.

The Rochester Colonials are Rochester’s premier rugby club. A member of the New York State Rugby Conference, the Colonials make perennial appearances to national-level playoffs and appear in many national and international tournaments. The Colonials have also been the proud hosts of the New York State Collegiate Upstate Rugby Tournament in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
