NRU Seeks U-23 Women's Coach


The Northeast Rugby Union (NRU) is seeking a head coach for it's Women's U-23 Program. This is a great opportunity to work with some of the most talented rugby players in the nation. The head coach will report directly to the NRU VP of Women's Clubs. Prospective coaching candidates are requested to provide a list of their potential assistant coaches and manager as well as a budget plan for the program.


Responsibilities:
- Develop and administer areas of responsibility and expectations for the NRU U-23 Assistant Coach(s) and Team Manager.
- Prepare a season schedule of selection camps, practices and matches.
- Organize and conduct all training sessions.
- Responsible for the final team selection and match selections.
- Prepare the team for competition both mentally and physically.
- Set and achieve realistic goals for both the team and individuals.
- Provide team feedback following matches and quality individual feedback on regular basis.
- Provide skill development on an individual basis where required, ex: kicking, lineout throws, tackling, passing, etc.
- Devise and supervise off-season programs.
- Responsible for player safety and ensuring appropriate injury management.
- Act in an appropriate manner on and off the field that will enhance the reputation of rugby and the NRU.

- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be a positive role model.
- Positive, energetic and enthusiastic about women's rugby.
