NYS Rugby Seeks Hosts for 2007 Collegiate Upstates
NYS Rugby seeks bids to host the 2007 Collegiate Upstates Tournament. One of the highlights each year for NYS Rugby, this tournament proves to be a great weekend of rugby for men's and women's collegiate sides.
The 2007 Collegiate Upstates will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22. Women's play will take place on Saturday, April 21, with men's action to follow on Sunday, April 22.
Now is your club's chance to bring this prestigious event to your home site! Host bids are due by Thursday, Jan. 25. Bids should be submitted to J.C. Whipple, NYS Rugby Executive Director, at jcwhip4@gmail.com.
Upstates bid proposals should include the following:
* Number of fields available (minimum of four fields required)
* Map of tournament site
* Confirmation of required field restraints / goal pads / flags
* Parking availability
* Rest Room facilities (confirmation)
* Security (if necessary for on-campus sites)
* Ambulance service / EMT (confirmation)
* Tent (10x10 minimum) for NYS Rugby officials
* Concession proposals
* Plans for local host PR / Media exposure / Youth rugby exposure
* Any other pertinent information to enhance your proposal
NYS Rugby assists host club in covering expenses associated with the Upstates Tournament.
