USA Rugby CIPP Registration
To all NYS Rugby member clubs -
Please see the message below from USA Rugby regarding Registration issues:
Just a couple of quick notes regarding the USA Rugby registration
website as we enter the busy fall season and everyone gears up for fall competition:
1. HIGH WEBSITE TRAFFIC -- Web traffic on Friday, 9/8/06 was EXTREMELY high. Due to this, some people had trouble registering at the precise moment they tried. Although we will take every technological precaution against it, there is the potential for this to happen again next Friday, so please encourage all clubs and players to register as soon as possible, rather than wait until the last minute on Friday afternoon. In addition, phone traffic on Fridays is exceptionally high and it is difficult to handle all calls that come in, although every attempt is made to do so. Please try to resolve any issues earlier in the week if you want to ensure that it is completed in time for Saturday competition.
2. CIPP ROSTERS -- The CIPP roster lists available for public viewing
(http://www.usarugby.org/membership/check.html) are updated each night
at midnight (not real-time), while real-time information is available to club administrators about their club only.
3. TRANSFERS -- We are receiving a large amount of transfers. All
transfers received prior to Friday will be processed by close of
business Friday. Transfers received ON Friday are likely to be
processed, but this we cannot guarantee. Please get them in as early as possible to guarantee they are completed in a timely manner.
4. OUTSTANDING INVOICES -- Many clubs and individuals have been
contacted repeatedly due to having outstanding payment for invoices
created in the online registration system in 2006. These clubs and
players with outstanding invoices will not be able to re-register the
club online without contacting the USA Rugby membership department to
arrange for check or credit card payment.
5. HALF-YEAR/NEW MEMBERS -- As you know, individuals who are brand new
to USA Rugby are eligible for a discounted registration if registering
after July 1st. This is ONLY for those who have never previously
registered for USA Rugby. Individuals who register as new members that actually have a previous registration record with USA Rugby will be flagged as "Ineligible Half Year" on the CIPP roster, and will be
required to provide full payment before being eligible to play.
