SYRACUSE, NY -- The Syracuse Chargers will be seeking their fourth consecutive title when they host the 2005 NYS Rugby Division III Men's Club Championship this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4-5, at Burnet Park in Syracuse.

Top-seeded Syracuse (8-0), which went undefeated in the regular season for the third consecutive year, will be looking to capture its fourth straight club championship. Rochester (7-1), the runner-up each of the previous three campaigns, will be looking to knock off its rival from its spot as the #2 seed.

#3 South Buffalo (6-2) and #4 Binghamton (5-3) are both making their first postseason appearances in quite some time.


Men's Club Division III Championship (Nov. 5-6 - Burnet Park, Syracuse, NY)
Semifinals - Saturday, Nov. 5
#4 Binghamton vs. #1 Syracuse (12:00 p.m.)
#3 South Buffalo vs. #2 Rochester (2:00 p.m.)

Championship Game (Sunday, Nov. 6)
Winners of two semifinal games (1:00 p.m.)


Directions to Burnet Park

Directions from Rochester and Buffalo:
Take Thruway east to Exit 39, I690 east
Take the exit for Rt. 5 (Auburn/Fairmount)
Follow signs (bear left) toward Fairmount
At the light, make a left on W. Genessee St.
Take W. Genesee St. to light at Avery Ave.
After about 1.5 mi., Turn Right on AVERY AVE
AVERY AVE turns into Burnet Park Dr
Burnet Park Dr twists around a bit so watch the street signs
At four-way stop at intersection of Salisbury and Burnet Park Dr,
Burnet Park entrance is visible across the street.
Fields are adjacent to the skating rink/swimming pool.

Directions from North:
Follow 81 to Syracuse, and exit via Hiawatha Blvd/Carousel Center/Bear Road exit
Follow signs for Hiawatha Blvd. and take a right at the light
Follow Hiawatha approx 2 miles to end.
Take left onto Erie Blvd and very next right on West Genesee St.
Follow West Genesee St up the hill to Milton Ave (left).
After left, stay straight for 6-7 blocks, and after upside down traffic light, road turns into Burnet Park Drive.
Stay straight for three blocks and cross Coleridge Dr. into the park.

Directions from the South:
Follow 81 North until Route 690 West.
Take 690 west and get right immediately to exit on West St.
At light, take a right onto Fayette Street.
Follow approximately 1.5 miles and cross Geddes Street.
Stay left and Fayette will become Tompkins Blvd.
Follow Tompkins up the hill and after upside down traffic light, take left onto Burnet Park Drive.
Stay straight for three blocks and cross Coleridge Dr. into the park.
