Administrative / Procedural Instructions
To all NYS Rugby member clubs -
Please disregard the previous email and follow these instructions.
As we are quickly approaching the postseason, everyone should be aware of the administrative requirements and paperwork necessary for all participating clubs. The steps found below are REQUIRED and must presented on-site at any playoff game. Clubs not providing necessary documentation for each individual/club will be disqualified from play:
Requirements for NYS Rugby College Playoff Teams
1. You must have a USA Rugby College Team Eligibilty form completed by the school registrar which includes the names of your players, their status (full, part time) and their date of matriculation and CIPP number. Ignore instructions #1a, 1d, 2b and 2c at the top of the form. Download College Player Eligibilty form at ( http://www.usarugby.org/championships/registrationForms/collegeplayer-elig.pdf).
Your registrar will probably not honor last minute requests. Start it now.
2. All NYS playoff teams AND players must to be CIPPed (USA rugby individual memberships). The CIPP number must be provided on the USA Rugby College Team Eligibilty form.
3. Teams will provide a match roster before kickoff. Players will verify their identity with photo identificaton before kickoff. Playing an un-identified player or a player who is later found to be ineligible or missing from the USA Rugby College Team Eligibilty form will be cause for forfiture.
4. Read the collegiate eligility rules at USA Rugby College Eligibilty Rules Page 11 . There is a 5 years running clock from the time you start college. Exceptions to this are rare and must be documented with USA Rugby. You must be full-time undergrad or a graduate student at the same school from which you graduated.
Requirements for NYS Men's Division III Playoff Teams
ALL players must check in with the League Executive or whoever is assisting him at least 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Have your captain or coach submit the Game Day roster form. Each player must then be verified with photo ID and CIPP card. There will be no exceptions to this requirement. If a player is not on your roster and verified, they will not be allowed to play. Please make sure this done timely so this event runs smoothly.
