USA Rugby Coaches Development Program
Coaching
Accreditation and Player Camp to be held at RIT
NYS Rugby is hosting a USA Rugby Coaches Development Program (CDP) in
Rochester, NY, March 12-13. The clinic will be held at Rochester
Institute of Technology (RIT).
Annually one of the
nation's largest Coaching Development sites, NYS Rugby is again providing
the opportunity for its members to certify themselves as USA Level I and
Level II coaches.
In conjunction with the CDP, NYS Rugby will also host a Player Development
Camp. New to the lineup this year, the player camp will be open to high
school boys and girls and collegiate men and women. It will go through
all the basic aspects of rugby along with the latest skills and laws from
the international game. The clinic is suitable for both new and experienced
high school and collegiate players.
As these two initiatives run in conjunction with one another, USA staff
will utilize those attending the CDP as instructors, complementing their
work in the classroom and placing coaches in a forum for immediate feedback
on practical skills and teaching situations.
For those interested in signing up for the Coaching Accreditation Program,
