NYS Women's U23 Elite Player Development Camp
To be held Jan. 15-16 at Cornell
This is an elite level
development clinic serving as a feeder camp for the Northeast Rugby Union
Under 23 Select Side (NRU U23) team
The NRU "Nessies"
are currently the #2 ranked Territorial Select Side in the nation, are
the reigning Saranac Can-Am DII Champions, and are looking to build their
player base heading into the 2005 ITT National Championships. The NRU
U23 Selection Camp will be held in early 2005.
The NRU U23 coaches have trained more that a dozen former and current
USA Eagles.
The camp will be held indoors at a heated Astroturf facility in Cornell
University's Bartels Hall Field House.
The camp is open to all CIPP registered women's rugby players who reside
in NY State and are under the age of 23. Younger collegiate players are
encouraged to attend.
Players from ALL NYSRC divisions are encouraged to attend. Many DII and
DIII players have made the NRU squad in the past. Registration fee for
the camp is $30.00 per player if received before Dec. 13th, $40.00 per
player after Dec. 13th.

Hotel blocks will be reserved in the Ithaca area. Players and coaches
will be responsible for their own lodging accommodations.
