Due to snow covered fields wind and subfreezing temperatures on Saturday morning all Division 1 and 2 matches were postponed until Sunday starting at 10 AM and changed to a one day format with 30 minute halves.
A decision on Division 3 matches was postponed until 1 PM. Touchlines were shoveled and the sun came out by noon making conditions acceptable. The Division 3 matches were played at 1 PM Saturday.
By 10 AM Sunday morning most of the snow was gone and a bright sun and light winds made for good playing conditions. Division 2 semis were played at 10 AM, finals and consolations at 12:30 PM. Division 1 semis were played at 11:15 AM, finals and consolations at 1:45 PM.
The all ready difficult task of running the tournament was made much more difficult by the last minute snow and cold temperatures. The extraordinary preparation by tournament host Frank Caruso and labor of his U Mass women made the tournament possible in spite of all obstacles. Thanks to all the playoff coaches, administrators and players who showed patience and understanding in spite of the disruptions to their plans.
