Northeast team goes 2 - 1 at College Allstar Championships
Boulder, Colordo.A team composed of 24 players from 17 clubs and all 3 LAU's helped defeat defending championship South 26 - 25 in their final match on Sunday. Northeast handled Southern California 34 - 19 on Saturday. The only loss came to home territory West 12 - 37 in the first day of competition.
Syracuse Fly half Dave Burt and Brockport Flanker Joe Perez were named outstanding back and forward for the Northeast. Very strong performances were put in by hooker Matt Piccirrillo of UConn, center Jeff Reiman of Harvard, and number 8 Nick Dutton-Swain of Middlebury and scrum half Brian White of Albany State.
