Requirements for NYS college playoff teams
1 You must obtain an official signed registrar's letter listing the
names of your players, their status (full, part time) and their date of
matriculation. If you are a graduate student it must be indicated that
you are a graduate of the same school. Again, don't listen to rumors.
This document cannot be obtained from your advisor or from the student
government ... only one source... the registrar's office.
Your registrar will probably not honor last minute requests. Do it now.
2 All NYS playoff teams and players must to be CIPPed (USA rugby
individual memberships), follow the links on www.usarugby.org.
3 Also, read the collegiate eligility rules at the NYS rugby web site or
at www.usarugby.org. There is a 5 years running clock from the time
you start college. Exceptions to this are rare and must be documented
with USA Rugby. You must be full-time undergrad or a graduate student
at the same school from which you graduated.
Requirements for NYS mens div iii playoff teamsThe player check in procedure for the Senior Mens Club playoffs will be
similar to the one used for the Collegiate playoffs. ALL players must check
in with JC Whipple or whoever is assisting him at least 30 minutes prior to
kickoff. Have your captain or coach submit the Game Day roster form.
Each player must then be verified with photo ID and CIPP card. There will
be no exceptions to this requirement. If a player is not on your roster and
verified, they will not be allowed to play. Please make sure this done timely
so this event runs smoothly. Thank you for your cooperation and good luck
